PRODUCT SAFETY & CARE

Snuggle Buddy is a comfort companion designed to help dogs feel calm and settled. It is not a chew toy. Please read these safety instructions before giving it to your dog, and keep them for future reference.

Supervision

Always supervise your dog when first introducing Snuggle Buddy, and until you are confident they use it only for comfort. Puppies, teething dogs and dogs that tend to chew or destroy toys should only use Snuggle Buddy under supervision.

Not a chew toy

Snuggle Buddy contains a battery-operated heartbeat device and a disposable heat pack. These parts can cause serious harm if chewed, swallowed or broken open. If your dog chews, tears or tries to open the pouch, remove Snuggle Buddy immediately. Take out the heartbeat device and heat pack, and only reintroduce the plush once your dog no longer attempts to chew it.

Check regularly

Inspect Snuggle Buddy before each use. Stop using it straight away if you notice any damage, loose seams, torn fabric, a damaged pouch closure, or a cracked or leaking heartbeat device or heat pack.

Heartbeat device and batteries

Keep the heartbeat device closed and fully inside the pouch. Only replace batteries yourself, out of your dog’s reach, and dispose of used batteries safely. Never leave loose batteries where your dog can reach them.

Heat pack

Use only one heat pack at a time, always inside the pouch and never directly against your dog’s skin. Do not heat it in a microwave or oven. Once a heat pack has been used and has cooled and hardened, throw it away immediately, out of your dog’s reach.

If something goes wrong

If you believe your dog has swallowed any part of Snuggle Buddy, including the heartbeat device, a battery or the contents of a heat pack, contact your vet immediately, even if your dog seems fine.

Washing

Always remove the heartbeat device and heat pack before washing. Machine wash the plush on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and allow it to dry completely before use.

Not a substitute for veterinary care

Snuggle Buddy is a comfort product. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any medical or behavioural condition. If your dog shows severe or ongoing anxiety, please speak to your vet or a qualified behaviourist.

Limitation of liability

Snuggle Buddy is not liable for any injury, illness, death or damage to any animal, person or property resulting from the use or misuse of this product.

By purchasing and using Snuggle Buddy, you accept full responsibility for supervising your dog and for following these safety instructions. Snuggle Buddy is not liable for, including but not limited to:

  • choking, or swallowing any part of the product, including the heartbeat device, batteries, filling, fabric or the contents of the heat pack
  • injury or illness caused by chewing, tearing or opening the product
  • use of the product without supervision
  • continued use of a damaged or worn product
  • incorrect use of the heat pack or heartbeat device
